Hawzah News Agency- The National Welfare Party of Afghanistan issued a statement denouncing the Taliban's occupation of the Khatam al-Nabiyyin (PBUH) seminary and university, along with the confiscation of several residential compounds — including Omid Sabz in western Kabul, Sajjadiyya in Mazar-i-Sharif, and compounds in Ghazni and Herat.
'Wahhabi, Salafi, Deobandi Thinking Is Repeating'
The party said the moves amount to an affront to all Afghans and warned that "Wahhabi, Salafi, Deobandi, and Pashtunwali thinking is repeating itself." It condemned the Taliban for never abandoning its original demands, describing its current approach as a deception aimed at the public and the international community.
The statement said the Taliban holds Takfiri beliefs it has so far concealed — viewing Shias as apostates and permitting their killing — and charged that its conduct conforms to no humanitarian or international standard.
'The World's Eyes Are Closed'
The party said the world has turned a blind eye to the atrocities in Afghanistan, citing what it called "medieval crimes" against women, the closure of schools and universities to them, and the recent treatment of Shia elders and scholars by the Taliban's so-called minister of justice, Abdul Hakim Sharai.
It also accused the Taliban of a "silent killing" of Tajik brothers in northern provinces, particularly Panjshir and Badakhshan, calling it an eternal disgrace for what it described as an anti-education, terrorist group.
Calls for International Action
The National Welfare Party urged the international community and the United Nations to stop the Taliban's violence and countless crimes against Afghans, especially Shias and Tajiks, so that the people of Afghanistan are no longer victimized.
The party said it believes "behind-the-scenes hands and pre-determined scenarios" are directing and ordering the Taliban to hold Afghans hostage, adding that the Afghan people have no trust in the group.
Appeal to Muslim Scholars
The party called on the great scholars of the Muslim world and senior religious authorities to condemn the Taliban's violent actions — including the closure of seminaries and religious sites and the confiscation of Afghan property — and to help the people of Afghanistan find a way out.
It urged Afghanistan's Muslim, devout, and brave people to preserve their unity and solidarity, to stand against the Taliban's atrocities, and not to let the dignity of the Afghan people be trampled by what it called an unrooted, mercenary group.
"And victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the Wise," the statement concluded.
